The Future is in Your Hands: A Story of Empowerment

As a child, I always dreamed of making a difference in the world. I wanted to help people, to make a positive impact, and to leave the world a better place than I found it. But as I grew older, I began to doubt whether I could really make a difference. The problems of the world seemed too big, too complex, and too overwhelming for one person to tackle.

It wasn't until I discovered the power of technology that I realized that the future really is in our hands. With the help of technology, we can connect with people all over the world, share ideas and resources, and work together to solve even the biggest problems.

One of the first ways I saw technology making a difference was through crowdfunding. Crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo allow people to raise money for their ideas and projects from a global community of supporters. This means that even if you don't have access to traditional funding sources, you can still bring your ideas to life.

I saw this firsthand when a friend of mine used Kickstarter to fund his documentary film about climate change. He had been struggling to get funding from traditional sources, but through crowdfunding, he was able to raise enough money to make his film and share his message with the world.

Another way that technology is empowering people is through social media. Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram allow us to connect with people all over the world, share our stories and experiences, and mobilize support for causes we care about.

I saw this in action during the 2016 U.S. presidential election. While many people were feeling frustrated and disillusioned with the political process, social media provided an outlet for people to express their views and connect with others who shared their values. This led to a groundswell of grassroots activism that helped to shape the outcome of the election.

But perhaps the most exciting way that technology is empowering people is through the rise of artificial intelligence and machine learning. These technologies have the potential to revolutionize the way we work, learn, and live our lives.

For example, imagine a world where doctors can use AI-powered tools to diagnose diseases more accurately and quickly than ever before. Or a world where students can use machine learning algorithms to personalize their learning experience and get the support they need to succeed.

Of course, there are also concerns about the impact of AI and machine learning on jobs and society as a whole. But I believe that if we work together, we can harness the power of these technologies to create a better future for everyone.

The future really is in our hands. With the help of technology, we can connect with others, share our ideas and resources, and work together to solve even the biggest problems. So let's embrace this power and use it to create a brighter tomorrow for ourselves and for generations to come.

SPEAK TO YOURSELF WITH LOVE AND HONEST

Motivational speakers are credited to be the best influence in our modern generation, when the speak to you ,you feel so nice and amazing to listen to your inner hidden parts.

They always speak out of experience or through encounters in their life, out of this they give out testimonial speaches that make many to think otherwise.

But I challenge you ,wake up one day ,be your own motivational speaker ,call yourself by name ,speak to that person ,tell him/her what he needs to hear ,talk with passion with him, because you know him, tell him the truth of what is awaiting him of the decisions he made or he is anticipating to make, tell him what he needs to do to achieve the desires of his life, warn him of the possible outcomes from the actions he Is doing,,remind him of the past ,where he comes from too, then tell him what to do if already the outcomes are at the door

Great advice! Being our own motivational speaker can definitely help us achieve our goals and overcome obstacles. It's important to speak to ourselves with kindness and encouragement, just like we would to a friend.

Sometimes, we can be our own worst critic and it's easy to get caught up in negative self-talk. But by taking a moment to speak positively to ourselves, we can shift our mindset and approach challenges with a more optimistic outlook.

Remembering our past experiences and where we come from can also be a helpful reminder of how far we've come and what we're capable of achieving. And if we're facing difficult decisions or outcomes, it's important to be honest with ourselves about the potential consequences and what steps we can take to move forward.

So let's all take a moment to be our own motivational speakers today and give ourselves the encouragement and guidance we need to reach our full potential!

Prioritizing Mental Health in a Fast-Paced World

In today's fast-paced world, people are constantly under pressure to perform and achieve success. While this drive for excellence is admirable, it often comes at the cost of mental health. Many people neglect their mental well-being in pursuit of their goals, not realizing the long-term consequences of doing so.

Studies have shown that mental health problems are on the rise, with depression and anxiety being the most common. In fact, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), depression is now the leading cause of disability worldwide. This alarming statistic highlights the need for people to prioritize their mental health.

One of the reasons why people should focus on their mental health is that it can have a significant impact on their physical health. For example, chronic stress can lead to a weakened immune system, high blood pressure, and heart disease. Additionally, mental health problems can also affect an individual's ability to function in their daily lives, leading to difficulties at work, school, or in personal relationships.

Real-life cases demonstrate the importance of taking care of one's mental health. Take the story of Jane, for example. Jane was a high-achieving executive who worked long hours and rarely took time off. She was constantly stressed and anxious, but she believed that her success was worth the sacrifice. However, after several years of this lifestyle, Jane began experiencing panic attacks and insomnia. She eventually had to take a leave of absence from work to focus on her mental health.

Another example is John, a college student who was struggling with depression. He found it difficult to concentrate on his studies and often felt overwhelmed by his workload. Despite his struggles, John didn't seek help until it was too late. He failed several classes and had to drop out of school.

These stories highlight the need for individuals to prioritize their mental health. Taking care of one's mental well-being can prevent these types of situations from occurring and can lead to a happier and more fulfilling life.

So,what can individuals do to prioritize their mental health? Here are a few suggestions:

1. Take breaks: It's important to take breaks throughout the day to recharge and relax. This can include taking a walk outside, practicing deep breathing exercises, or simply taking a few minutes to meditate.

2. Seek support: If you're struggling with mental health issues, don't hesitate to seek support from friends, family, or a mental health professional. Talking about your feelings and experiences can be incredibly helpful.

3. Practice self-care: Engage in activities that bring you joy and help you relax. This can include hobbies, exercise, or spending time with loved ones.

4. Set boundaries: It's important to set boundaries in your personal and professional life to prevent burnout. This can include saying no to extra responsibilities or taking time off when needed.

In conclusion, prioritizing mental health is essential for individuals to lead happy and fulfilling lives. Real-life cases demonstrate the consequences of neglecting one's mental well-being, and it's important for individuals to take proactive steps to prevent these situations from occurring. By taking breaks, seeking support, practicing self-care, and setting boundaries, individuals can prioritize their mental health and achieve long-term success and happiness.

MY SCHOOL CHRONICLES

...Schooling began. I vividly remember how I cried all the way to school the very first day under the escort of my mother. I was not ready for the new environment due to fear of unknown. It turned out to be a good experience. I met and made new friends. In nursery school I remember we used to carry a piece of exercise book cut halfway. Much of writing was done on red paper and marked with the stick! I mean we used to write on loose soil in our classroom which was purposely set aside for us and our teacher used to mark our work with a stick as soon as possible before time could erase it naturally. Barely before the term lapsed I saw elderly colleagues getting promoted to class one by merely touching their left ear using the right hand passed over their heads. That was the pass mark by then. One could be promoted to class one even after spending a day at nursery school provided his/her hand could pass over their heads successfully. Much of our lower primary studies were done in songs form. One could master wrong things depending how their ears could capture the song. One song which was normally sung at lunch hour before running home stood out and was the most memorable…
Nasikia sauti, nasikia sauti, sauti ya mama, sauti ya mama, sasa ni saa sita, mwalimu kwaheri……
We could sing the song repeatedly ready to dash off immediately the teacher on duty sung..watoto kwaheri as a response to mwalimu kwaheri….
One of the compulsory dressing codes during our time was walking barefooted to school. It was like a natural and community dictate. It was a norm. At some instances, one pupil especially those transferring from town settings to our school could come in shoes. They stood out oddly. This made them seem social misfits. Soon or later they joined our bandwagon by learning to walk barefooted like everyone did. By the way it was punishable to compete with teachers by dorning in shoes unless you had all textbooks to the subjects we were covering. Stumbling on stones and hard soil was a common phenomenon. Almost daily you could spot a pupil hoping over grass in the school fields because of a bleeding toe or a wounded one. You can imagine the walking style. These pupils at times were played on by other mischievous ones who could set a trap by knotting grass in a way that could bring one down tumbling especially at wee hours of the day when all were rushing home or running from recesses. Unfortunately these traps could net even the unintended guests; teachers and visiting parents especially during the opening days when grass was sufficient enough to toggle even an adult.

TREAT ME WITH GENTLENESS.

We may be physically different living in diverse grounds, but we may be suffering with the same background problem. My secret sorrow may be the same us yours but by what we look we seem to be different from each other. please treat me with humility and love ,because my inside is a horrible and miserable place to stay ,tears flow day and night without a helper to wipe away my tears.dont judge me by what you see or know about me ,my outside glamour will never explain my life fully.
I fear sharing with you my afflictions because you may not keep the secret, I feel each day to speak to you but I fear you May victimize me .I don’t understand why do you find it easy to smoother me than to find a solution to my afflictions .it takes more years to build a reputation and seconds to ruin it, if you think about that, you’ll do things differently .only remember that every saint has a past and every sinner has a future. I don’t look to jump over six-foot bars; I look around for one-foot bar that I can step over it, maybe you are the bar am looking for.
You may not make my life good, atleast make it look good ,I only don’t want to insult myself by comparing my life with you, I rather compare my life with a mirror ,because when I cry it never loughs. My friend life is a play that does not allow testing ,so treat people with understanding and love ,before the curtain of life closes and the pieces ends with no applauses .
I like always walking in the rain so no one can see me crying, we think too much but we feel too little, nothing is permanent in this world, not even our troubles. Life is a tragedy when seen In a close-up, but a comedy in long-short, I have known how to take my pain and play with it, my life is my desire and I don’t seek any meaning of it, it’s worthwhile if you just smile.
Let my pain be the reason for your laughter ,but my laughter must never ever be the reason for somebody’s pain .I am easily satisfied with every friend who appreciates me and even those who despise me .But if you are going through hell, keep going ,history will be kind to me for I intend to write it. Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm, remember kites rise highest against the wind, not with it.
Attitude is a small thing that makes a big difference, my friend continuous efforts –not strength or intelligence is the key to unlocking our potentials but only love is able to do it.
An honest man is always a small child ,employ your time in improving yourself by other men’s writings so that you shall gain easily what others have labored hard for ,false words are not only evil in themselves but they infect the soul with evil , no manner of love can habit in such a soul. Am yearning to do the best in my life that I may leave a positive mark in the society and not to judge people because I know not what they are going trough in their hidden lives, treat people with humbleness.

I AM AT PEACE WITH GOD, MY CONFLICT IS WITH MANBy eng . wesley .
